Bugaroo Baby Slings Foster Attachment

One of the moms who uses my Bugaroo Baby Sling was wearing it, and was stopped by Carolyn, who is an Attachment Therapist. Carolyn started to rave about the sling as a great way for mom and baby to bond. Carolyn told her that staying close to your baby helps them feel secure and it aids in attachment to parents. (This is a great reason for dad's to use them too.) This mom was so excited to tell me the feedback she recieved from Carolyn. I connected with Carolyn and asked her to share her thoughts on the Bugaroo sling. Here is her full statement:

"A healthy attachment by a nurturing caregiver during the first year of life helps the infant organize their world. The process of attachment is defined as mutual attunement, in which the baby and the caregiver have a positive influence on one another over time. The caregiver's presence provides a feeling of safety and security for the infant. This security helps the baby feel confident of the parents'/caregivers' availability and responsiveness. It is my observation and opinion that The Bugaroo Baby Sling has the potential to support and foster a secure attachment batween infants and their caregiver/s."
