what would i DO without my BUGAROO?

After having my second son, I found that not only was my life full, but my hands were full too!

My son didn't like to be put down, yet I still needed to care for my first son and myself. The sling was THE PERFECT solution. I was able to be hands free and yet hold my son. I can't tell you how necessary it was for me to have this in my stash of baby supplies. I've used it to travel-how else do you collapse a stroller while holding a baby?- on the airplane, where he slept most of the way, eating at restaurants, at the park, church, at home while doing household stuff, and being out and about. I not only love my sling, but I need it too.

People asked me where I got it and I slowly started making these for others to use for themselves or give as gifts. It's been snowballing and I've decided to run with it. There are lots of ways to hold the baby as the baby goes through the stages. Right now, my son loves to sit up in it and look around at what's going on. He also still loves to lay in it and sleep. He's 6 months old. It's important that the sling fits perfectly. This way you are comfortable and confident that your baby is secure. As of now, I have samples and am taking orders.

My husband loves the sling too! He loves to hold the baby and have him close, but like most everyone, still needs to have his hands free. It is wonderful to see him bonding with the baby.

Boutique

This was my first chance to display my Bugaroo slings and burp cloths. It was a really great experience. I received a lot of good feedback, advice, and some hints to making my life easier. I did sell and more importantly I learned so much. I'm so excited to add things to Bugaroo Baby and see where it goes.

From the beginning of this process I've been hesitant to, 'take the leap', but along the way I get little doors that open and nudges to keep going with this. My husband and family have been incredibly supportive and excited about my endeavors, which is just another reason to work hard, put my heart into it, and let it take off!

Bugaroo Bags!

I made a bag very similar to this and thought it would be even cuter if it was mini. Everything is cuter when it's mini. This is my very adorable niece, Audrey (7 yrs.) modelling the purse. They are reversible and are the perfect size for a little girl. The colors and combinations are fun, unique, and endless. They are machine washable and lightweight.

Bugaroo Burpies!

I know what burp cloths are used for...but they can still be cute right? I make these burpies to coordinate with the slings (for the perfect gift), sold separately or as pairs. One side is terrycloth to absorb the mess and the other side is decorative with a soft cotton to wipe the sweet little baby face. (measures 6 inches x 19 inches)

Bugaroo Blocks!

A perfect, plush, play toy for your infant. with tags and color galore, your baby will love to explore this block. Between 3 and 6 months of age, your baby will want to sit up in the sling so that they can see what's going on while you take care of what's going on. The Bugaroo Block was made to fit snugly over the handle of the sling so that it can sit on your baby's lap or hang over the edge of the sling for your baby to grab. They can also be hung from carseats, swings, infant seats, little gyms, or even in the car on the exit handle above the window. Your toddler will love to play catch with them and carry them around too. They make a quiet, muted sound, (a jingle).
Connected to the sling, so you don't have to pick it up!

Bugaroo Baby Slings Foster Attachment

One of the moms who uses my Bugaroo Baby Sling was wearing it, and was stopped by Carolyn, who is an Attachment Therapist. Carolyn started to rave about the sling as a great way for mom and baby to bond. Carolyn told her that staying close to your baby helps them feel secure and it aids in attachment to parents. (This is a great reason for dad's to use them too.) This mom was so excited to tell me the feedback she recieved from Carolyn. I connected with Carolyn and asked her to share her thoughts on the Bugaroo sling. Here is her full statement:

"A healthy attachment by a nurturing caregiver during the first year of life helps the infant organize their world. The process of attachment is defined as mutual attunement, in which the baby and the caregiver have a positive influence on one another over time. The caregiver's presence provides a feeling of safety and security for the infant. This security helps the baby feel confident of the parents'/caregivers' availability and responsiveness. It is my observation and opinion that The Bugaroo Baby Sling has the potential to support and foster a secure attachment batween infants and their caregiver/s."
